DESCRIPTION:

Over and under the Rooftops of Paris is a walk that shifts scenery from the Seine to the Opera district with the objective of giving a sense of how the city changed significantly in the 19th century. We meet at 59 rue Rivoli in the 1st arrondissement and go from high ground to the “underground” and inspect today's haunts discussing the new urban experiences begun in Paris back when Hausmann and the society gave rise to this dissolute lifestyle, including Offenbach, Moliere, Celine, and the Opera Garnier.
